Double Cone Mixer

The Double Cone Mixer is designed for efficient and homogeneous batch mixing of a wide range of powder materials. In powder coating production, it is primarily used for post-mixing and final powder homogenization after grinding. The mixer is also suitable for applications in the pharmaceutical, dyestuff, food, fine chemical, and fine ceramic industries, particularly where gentle and uniform blending of brittle, tough, loose, or lightweight powders is required.

The mixer features a rotating double-cone vessel designed to provide efficient material movement without excessive mechanical stress. During operation, the vessel rotates while the powder is continuously lifted, tumbled, exchanged, and redistributed. Radial, axial, and lateral mixing actions work together to promote thorough contact between different components and achieve a consistent blend throughout the batch. This design is well suited to powder materials that require uniform mixing while minimizing unnecessary shear.

For powder coating applications, the Double Cone Mixer is positioned at the post-mixing stage following the grinding process. It can be used to homogenize finished powder coatings, blend different powder components, and incorporate selected materials at the final mixing stage. This makes the equipment particularly useful for formulations requiring controlled dry blending, batch homogenization, or the combination of different powder components before packaging.

The mixing cycle can be adjusted from 5 to 15 minutes, allowing operators to optimize processing conditions according to material characteristics and formulation requirements. This flexibility helps accommodate different powder products while maintaining consistent batch-to-batch processing.

Material-contacting components are manufactured from SS304 stainless steel, providing a durable and easy-to-clean working surface.
